Our New Iberia office is where it all started, and after nearly 40 years, it's still the same practice families in this community have always known and trusted. Tucked into a warm, standalone building near the heart of town, our office feels less like a clinical setting and more like a familiar place where everybody knows your name. We serve children from infancy through their teen years, welcoming all families and all insurance, including Medicaid. Our residency-trained providers and cross-trained staff are here to make sure every child leaves feeling good about their visit and every parent leaves feeling heard.

Dr. Savoy grew up right here in New Iberia, and when he bought this practice from its original founder, Dr. Brown, in 2017, he carried on a legacy that had already been serving local families for over 30 years. Dr. Brown still sees patients with us today, making Pelican one of the most established and continuously trusted pediatric practices in the region. Pelican Pediatric Dentistry was founded in 1986 by Dr. Brown, who remains part of our team today and is still a familiar, trusted face for many New Iberia families. Dr. Chris Savoy, a New Iberia native, trained at Tulane University, LSU Dental School, and completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital in New Orleans before returning home to buy and grow this practice in 2017. Dr. Hebert brings nearly 20 years of experience caring for children, and Dr. Bernard has dedicated the past seven years to pediatric dental care. All four providers work across both our New Iberia and Lafayette locations, so your family always has access to the same trusted team no matter which office you visit.
